The Year is 2027. The world as we know it is unraveling after 15 years of economic meltdown and widespread global conflict over dwindling natural resources.
A once proud America has fallen, her infrastructure shattered and military in disarray. Crippled by a devastating EMP strike, the USA is powerless to resist the ever expanding occupation of a savage, nuclear armed Greater Korean Republic........
On Saturday, April 23rd, Westworld presented the Homefront scenario to a massive turnout of players. We would like to thank all that participated and made this a great event. Here's a recap of the battle that took place:
Homefront got started with the KPA forces taking an American USMC Pilot prisoner. They were in route to a re-education camp when they were ambushed by American freedom fighters. The American pilot was killed when he was caught in the crossfire during the rescue attempt.
With the pilot dead the US were forced to move onto plan B. They managed to infiltrate KPA Forces and gain the help of an inside contact. A plan was put in action to access a concentration camp disguised as a school. Once the camp was breached, several homing beacons were to be acquired and used to mark a KPA convoy headed to San Francisco. Even though the inside contact turned on them, alerting the KPA forces to their presence, the freedom fighters were able to complete the mission.
The Americans needed to get out of town and escape the KPA forces. The KPA proved to be well organized and repeatedly were able to hold off the remaining American forces from successfully escaping. However, the American team commander Andrew Wurtz, managed to steal a heavily guarded helicopter and evacuate some of his men.
The Americans began tracking the fuel convoy using the homing beacons stolen earlier. The plan was to hijack the convoy and pass the precious fuel over to American forces. When the two armies met, a massive, sustained battle ensued with both sides taking significant casualties. Even though the KPA was able to fend off the attack, they could not deliver the fuel to the KPA headquarters.
The battle came down to the wire. After the points were totaled up, it was determined that the American freedom fighters had pulled out a narrow victory.
Congratulations go out to American team commander: Andrew Wurtz and American MVP: John Rizer
