Read on for a recap of how it played out.
Splatter Ranch was bulging at
the ropes with over 185 players that participated in "The A-Team" scenario
game.
The A-Team, commanded by Christopher
"Hannibal" Tilley, led his team on the battlefield to face off
against the infamous Andrew "Lynch"
Swedler and his team of CIA SAD and Black Forest
operatives.
The game started off with
the A-Team dealing the first blow after Hannibal and his team successfully
rescued and captured teammate "Faceman" from the hands of the Mexican Federales.
They proceeded to secure a chopper and safely fly back into U.S. Airspace
leaving the Federales empty handed. Confident in their teams capabilities after
their first success together, the A-Team takes on a top secret assignment from a
CIA SAD agent named Lynch. They are assigned with the task of ambushing some
heavily armed Iraqi's, stealing $1 billion in cash and securing the stolen
Treasury plates that were used to create counterfiet money.
The A-Team smashed the
unprepared Iraqi forces completing their second mission. With such a great start
for the A-Team, they seemed to be unstoppable. Unfortunately, Black Forest
operatives that were suppose to be on the same side, blew up the money and stole
the plates leaving all fingers pointing in the direction of the A-Team. It
looked like the A-Team was the thief and that landed them all in prison.
With a little help from CIA SAD
agent Lynch, the team escapes from prison and proceeds to go after "Pike", the
Black Forest operative. The opposing team, ready to show their true strength,
started fighting back hard and secured some points for the board making the game
a lot more intense but still losing the plates to the A-team.
By the 5th mission,
after being deceived and left for dead, the A-Team discovers their true nemesis.
The opposing team commander Andrew "Lynch"
Swedler. Lynch took his team and pushed hard on the south end of the
field breaking through the A-Teams defensive lines and then sweeping across to
the north, flanking the A-Team and eliminating everyone in their path.
Unfortunately for Lynch, the A-Team survived with only a couple of their men
left, who successfully completed the A-Teams objectives showing the world that
Lynch was double-crossing them the whole time. Clearing their names for the
theft of the plates, the A-Team was arrested for escaping incarceration. Not
wanting to go back, the A-Team hatched a plan of escape but were eliminated by
Lynch's team before they made it to the safe zone. This brought Lynch's team
close to victory overall but in the end they just couldn't secure the needed
points to give them the win. With the scores being close, Christopher "Hannibal" Tilley and his A-Team
secured victory 8500pts to 7500pts. -Scott
Unlike the movie version,
the A-Team was eliminated in the last mission and it was the points that
rewarded them victory. Goes to show - you just never know what's gonna happen in
a Westworld Scenario Game.
